As part of the AITECH project dissemination activities and Science Comes To Town, an engaging 365-day-programme in the cities of Kiel, Brest, and Split in 2026, linking scientific institutions, innovation ecosystems, and citizens across Europe, Monika Mladenović, Divna Krpan and Saša Mladenović organised an AI outreach workshop for primary school students at HARFA International School Split on 21 April 2026.

The workshop introduced younger students to the basics of artificial intelligence, robotics, machine learning, and AI ethics through interactive demonstrations and discussions conducted entirely in English.

Around thirty students and several teachers participated in the activity, which aimed to make artificial intelligence accessible, understandable, and inspiring for younger generations.

Following the highly positive feedback, additional workshops and visits to the Artificial Intelligence Laboratory at the Faculty of Science in Split are already being planned.
