On Wednesday, April 1, 2026, the Department of Informatics once again had the pleasure of welcoming young visitors from the Mimoza Kindergarten, accompanied by workshop coordinators for gifted children, Mia Sunko and Sandra \u0160pralja.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The activity was organized within the framework of the project \u201cArtificial Intelligence for Future Technical Education and Industrial Competitiveness (AITECH), IP-UNIST-48\u201d<\/em>, as part of its science outreach and early STEM engagement efforts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n During the visit, a workshop on artificial intelligence was conducted using the CS Unplugged approach and the NAO robot. Through the activity \u201cBrain in a Jar\u201d<\/em>, children were given the opportunity to \u201clook inside\u201d the robot\u2019s brain and explore fundamental concepts of artificial intelligence in a simple, intuitive, and age-appropriate way. The workshop was led by our staff members Dino Neja\u0161mi\u0107, Petra Crmari\u0107, and Monika Mladenovi\u0107.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n The workshop took place in a highly positive and stimulating atmosphere, with the children showing great curiosity and enthusiasm throughout all activities. Through play and interaction, they took their first steps in understanding artificial intelligence and computational thinking\u2014forming an important foundation for the development of future STEM competencies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n <\/p>\n\n\n\n This activity reflects AITECH\u2019s broader mission to promote inclusive and accessible AI education, starting from the earliest stages of learning and fostering long-term interest in science and technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
